Aftercare is very important following a Botox procedure. Not following the advice provided could have an impact on your final result.
Do not touch, massage or rub the treated area in any way for at least over 24 hours to prevent the treatment from spreading to other muscles.

Aftercare is very important following a Botox procedure. Not following the advice provided could have an impact on your final result.
Do not touch, massage or rub the treated area in any way for at least over 24 hours to prevent the treatment from spreading to other muscles.
Avoid strenuous exercise that could flush or heat the skin such as Gym, Running, Sauna, etc.
Following the treatment do not lie down for at least 4 hours after the procedure. We want to avoid the treatment moving.
Do not lie on your tummy or face down
Do not undergo any other treatments like Microdermabrasion, Facials and Chemical Peels for at least 24 hours after the procedure.
Stay out of the direct sun until the redness and swelling has gone.
TIP: Use a SPf face cream daily to protect your face from aging.
A cold pack or gel can help you minimise bruising.
It is important to avoid pressure even after a few days to ensure the success of the treatment
Remember, it is common for the true result of the treatment to take up to around 2 weeks to take full effect.
Some skin boosting treatments need further sessions and can take up to three months to show full result.
We like to review your face at 2-4 weeks depending on your chosen treatment to ensure you are happy with your new look.

The most commonly reported side effects are:
- Temporary redness
- Itching
- Tenderness and Swelling at the injection site
This should resolve within 2-3 days.
If you are prone to bleeding you may get a small puncture site bruise.
If you suffer from cold sores the injection may trigger a cold sore, so treatment would be given to avoid this.

To avoid infection and allow the complete absorption of the drug into the areas injected, it is best to avoid the following during the first 24 hours:
- Vigorous exercise
- Hair washing
- Skin cleansing in areas injected
- Massages
- Extreme Heat
The areas injected might feel bruised or tender for a few days and you may also notice your migraine symptoms are more severe or you may have a migraine attack in the days following the treatment.
Since Botox is given as two separate treatments, three months apart, the full effect might only be felt after the second set of injections.
So a lack of effect after the first treatment does not mean that the treatment is not working.
